How to Make a Watch Super Expensive

We have all heard of watches that can cost upwards of five hundred thousand dollars. How can a small piece of jewelry possibly cost so much? You can bet these manufacturers try to stuff value in to every crevice of the watch to make the cost seem reasonable. For example, million dollar watches are usually made of pure silver, gold, and/or platinum, but this is nowhere close to enough to cover the cost.

Where the real money comes in is the diamonds and other encrusted jewels. Rubies, emeralds, and sapphires can cost tens of thousands of dollars apiece, so you can see how when you put enough of them on to a watch, the value would go sky-high. This is also the primary technique used to make nearly any small trinket more valuable; either that, or claim Jesus is imprinted in it.
